School of Life

This was an interesting look at adolescent school life. Stanley a boy who has obviously skipped classes at school feels that he should attend Miss Given's class because this time he might learn something. This is the ironic part of the storyline in my eyes because I am not really sure that Stanley has registered at the end of the movie that he has learnt anything at all. Certainly Miss Given deliberately forced Stanley to share with a school bully Garth by handing out one booklet short. She may have done this to encourage Stanley to stand up for himself. Instead he took the easy way out by leaving the room. Curiosity got the better of the boy as he eventually located his class and teacher. The movie ended with Stanley saying to Miss Given that Garth wouldn't share with him and Miss Given's reply "Well that is life Stanley."

Did Stanley actually learn anything from his experience???

What I am passionate about!

default

And this is why I really like certain stuff. I am looking to become a published author. I am currently writing a crime fiction novel. Unfortunately I haven't found enough large chunks of time to make any great inroads into it. The setting for the novel starts in Australia with the main character after having personal problems after the death of his parents in a car accident. He travels to Hawaii to recuperate where the main character is implicated in a murder. The plot I am going to keep closer to my chest but it also involves romance and deceipt.
I will keep you posted for further updates.
My other great love is the football team I follow The Mighty Adelaide Crows who play in the most exciting, action packed game on earth. If you are not an Aussie you should check it out and follow like all true believers in the tri-colours of red, yellow and blue.
